Hi to all.

I`m going to add some heatsinks to my ASUS M5A97 LE 2.0 motherboard and I need to ask you a few questions.

1º I`ts ok to use mx-4 to improve thermal connection between the heatsink and the mosfets? I read that its better to use pads because of the heat. Somebody posted that mx4 is going to make it worst and I could fry the vrms

2º Can I use HOT GLUE or HOT SILICONE GLUE from a HOT GLUE GUN to make the heatsink steady? The heatsinks are heavy and the MX4 can`t hold them in place when the CPU is standing, and I don`t have artic glue or anithing like that.

What else you recommend to make this work?

thanks !!!

Most people use thermal glue or double sided thermal pads. I used double sided thermal pads to sticks some heatsinks to the VRM's on an R9 290 :)

what would you recommend?

I can leave the cpu horizontal till tuesday when my new GTX970 arrives.

Is artic MX4 going to dry and get solid to at least see if in that solid state can HOLD them tight?

Sorry about my english.

My idea is to put HOT GLUE in the RED SPOTS to prevent the heatsinks falling like the green arrows...

I`m from Argentina and here is hard to get ARTIC glue or that kind of elemets.

ARCTIC mx4 can handle the high temps of the mosfets?

don't use hot glue...... it has no thermal property benefits and will likely not stand up to the heat of the VRMs. Double sided thermal pads would be way better. An epoxy with thermal transfer properties would be even better.

I`m not saying that I would use it as HEAT TRANSFER. Just to HOLD the heatsinks on site.

I`m using MX4 for the heat transfer.

EpOXY or thermal pads are hard to get here in Argentina.

Is that bad as a solution the hot glue?
even COLD glue for high temps. I can get that.

HELP MEEEEEEee thanks
