what power connector do i need?

i have a socket 775 mobo for dc7600 and i just bought a new psu that doesn't come with a pci-e power connector. just need to know what adapter i need either 6pin or 8pin

What kind of PCIE card are you going to use?

If your card doesn't need PCIe plugs, then you're good to go. Most cards come with Molex (4-pin) to PCIe 6-pin connectors, though, so you should be fine.

mine didn't its a sapphire radeon 5450 so maybe it pulls power directly from the pci-e slot?

Yes, up to 75 watts of power can be pulled at any time from a PCIe slot, so you should be good to go!

That card does not use any 6pin or 8pin adaptor. You should be good to go as as zeyuafnu said it can pull it right from the slot.
