So for the last 3 weeks I've been having a major problem with my computer and we cant find what the problem is.

1.) I shut down my computer, then in the middle of the night it starts back up but doesnt load windows it just restarts every 3-4seconds nonstop and the only way to shut it down is by pulling the plug.

2.) It does what i said in No.1 above but while im working on it it randomly does that.

3.) It showed some static on the screen and froze a game i was playing.

We changed the power supply and GPU and it still does that.

We also did a stress test on the GPU and Processor and once again nothing.

I also pulled the plug off and let it sit for 5-7 hours but still does that.

Also, no blown capacitors visible at least.

I have Windows 7 64bit, 2GB +4GB Ram(of the same Mhz), 250 Hard drive and 500GB Hard drive, Intel Core i5-2500 CPU @ 3,30Ghz (and its Quadcore).

PLEASE HELP i would truly appreciate it if you could point me in the right direction i dont wanna buy a brand new computer if i can just find what the problem is.

In the system setup disable anything that may allow it to wake up automatically. There are a number of things that can wake a PC up aside from the power button.

Keyboard activity, mouse activity, Wakeup on Lan, etc...

If that doesn't help, call an exorcist.

there is a BIOS setting that tells the computer what to do when theres a power outage- it can stay off or boot up. if the computer is plugged into a switched plug, hitting the switch off and on will look like a power outage to the computer and it will turn on.

Most probably it is a mouse wake-up problem. To disable automatic wake up from mouse movement during Windows 8 shutdown follow these steps:

1. Go to Device Manager
2. Search for your mouse driver in this screen, double-click on it to open properties window
3. Click on Power Management tab
4. Un-check "Allow this device to wake the computer" option

You can test it out if you manually shutdown your computer and move the mouse.

You should also disable the same option for your LAN drivers and Keyboard.
