I just bought a GA-990FXA-UD5, with a 8320 to go with it. I plan on running 2 6870s probably overclocked, with a 550 ti as a hybrid physX gpu. I just found out there is an 8 pin cpu power slot and my current psu does not support that. I found this http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002O21XHQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and ordered it, but I do not know if it is going to be compatible until I have the money for a new PSU. I also looked for a new psu but I came across this EPS\non eps information and cant seem to make sense of it. Can I use that adapter with my (5+ years old) antec 650w PSU with out damaging anything? What is a suitable PSU for 6870 crossfire, with a 550 ti hybrid, and overclocking an 8320 as far as possible? I have an antec 900 case, with all fans present, 6 HDDs and a corsair H50 water cooler. I am also considering running a second 300w psu to run some of the GPUs or all of them if need be.
