r9270x black screen . gpu working before for about 4 weeks . happned after i removed directx 10

well i have a wee bit of a problem on my hands

i installed my new r9 270x gpu about 2 4 weeks ago with out removeing my old GPU drivers or software . so i went and removed the divers and software without any problems . only now as i was trying to join a bf4 server and i get an error . your gpu dosent support directx 10 (just removed) and then my system froze up . i turned of and rebooted and after the windows 8 logo comes up its just black screening me . but my mouce pointer is there . please help . this is my first build so im a novice at this !

first of all thank you for the reply .
ok so i tryed useing safe mode and wel got black screened again .
i put in my old gpu and it boots without an issue .

anyideas at all on this matter ?

it sure isent incompatable

i had it up and running for a few weeks now . not a single issue its just when i removed the nvida direct x 10 from my old gpu this happned
but ill list my specs

cpu-AMD fx 4350 4.2 ghz
gpu old one asus nvida gt 640 new one amd sapphire r9 270x
mobo asus m5a97 r 2.0
power supply - CM g750m
ram 12gb
western digital 1tb hdd
