do i need to replace my motherboard i f i replace my cpu i have a asRock 960GM-Gs3 FX and my cpu is a Intel Core i7-4790K

Yes. Your new processor is an Intel, and your motherboard is AMD. Totally different slot and chipset. Look for an Intel motherboard with an LGA1150 slot.
