*HELP NEEDED* SATA port failure??

Recently, my computer was acting strange. At first, it threw a disk boot failure at me at BIOS start up. Meh, just restarted and it worked fine. Second time, it got worse. Windows 7 was stuck at the start up animation and shortly prompted startup repair. The repair went fine and I was able to limp into the desktop and do some gaming.

The next day however, I was not so lucky. Computer started up but monitor didn't. Did a quick test and removed one of RAM sticks to see if it could start up. It worked and started up nicely. When I tried to boot with all my RAM, it did but once again I was thrown into the never ending startup animation loop. Restarted again and did startup repair like usual. Repair failed to detect errors and my computer restarted automatically.

Upon restart, all 4 of my SATA connections were not detected by the BIOS. Went into BIOS setup to figure out the problem with no luck. All the connections were indeed non existent except for my one lone CD drive. Tried the port which the CD drive was connected to but turned up with nothing. Now, everytime I start up my computer, I'll always get the "boot disk failure" prompt. I have 2 500 gb hard drives and 2 CD drives. Tried them with other computers and they worked fine.

I'm guessing my SATA ports all failed spectacularly but I'm not really sure so any bit of information could be useful.

Should I get a new motherboard or should I keep finding ways to fix my problem? Many thanks to anyone willing to reply!

Really? Man, this is troubling.
If this indeed the truth, I shall give in to my fears and buy a new motherboard. My old one is pretty much obsolete anyway nowadays.
Thanks man, I'll look into it about the new motherboard!
