Hi

i7 4770k
1600 corsair vengeance
Ax 760w
Asus z87-a
Gtx 670 wtf

Just you guys to know, i already have this problem before, after researching, i came up to rma my motherboard to asus, when i received the unit, i just try to put the cpu, ram, psu, heatsink, before putting other stuffs, it turns on then turns off right away, its much more better now because before, there is no response in my system if i turned it on,

I only have the green light on my mobo when my psu is on, i have two psu to test my system, my current ax 760 and i still have my hx860, it gives me the same response, turns on and turns off right away, so i dont think both are defective? Right?? Pls no, And my board is in the table right now on top of its box, trying to turn it on with just my mobo, psu, cpu, ram,

I checked the cables more than my age so theres no problem with it,

I tried to do what it says here on this link http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/302360-31-computer-turns-split-shuts, still nothing

I really dont know what to do now, i waited for my mobo to arrive from asus for a month and this what i would get, kinda frustrating but still keeping my cool,

Anyways, my original plan last month is to change the looks of my rig this month by changing my mobo to rog hero, and buy a corsair 760t white and put my old stuff there, but sadly, im not gonna do that if i cant test my old parts right now :(

Sorry for babling and bad english, i hope we can fix this, thanks a lot:)

Are you talking about the one at the bottom where the power and reset switch? If yes then yea, using a screwdriver, it turns on real quick then turns off right away

Usually that means its overheating. Was going to say i t may have been because the BIOS on the mobo doesnt support that CPU

But it looks like it does because the BIOS it needs isnt listed on the ASUS site

I would check and make sure the CPU is on properly. And plugged into the right header. You did connect the ATX 4 pin right?

I'm not sure If this is the Problem in your Case but Yesterday I received my Gigabyte 970A-DS3P and It was doing the Same, It gets Autoshutdown when I powered it on so after Research I came to know that MoBo gets Auto Shutdown for their Safety when they are Staticly charged so All I did was Taped a Wire on my Cabinet and taped the other End to the Ground and Boom.... Its now Working Fine..... Not sure If this is the Problem in your Case too....

Yea i have tried that link already, no good, so do you guys think its the motherboard again thats causing this? Because my final fix is to get the rog hero and see if my cpu and psu will run good, if not, im just gonna return it right away

And thanks for deselecting it, lol im so desperate i opened a new thread, ahaha
