I have this MICRON RAM - 1333 Mhz, 10600 PC3 - 1.5V, and im planning to make it 8gb by adding Corsair ValueSelect 4GB 1600 Mhz DDR3 .. is this OK?

Solution
Your motherboard is capable of handling different voltages for different RAM's. 10600 is just another method of saying speed.

10600/8= 1333MHz
12800/8= 1600MHz

Chances are, you'll be fine.

Generally there shouldn't be problems. Typically the faster RAM will be downclocked to the speed of the slower RAM.

But rarely sometimes there will be issues, but this is typically because of the settings not compatible with one of the RAM modules. :) . In those cases manually setting RAM timings/speed should solve this.

there souldnt be problems.. hmmm.. what if the voltage of one differed to the other, and the micron one is 10600 PC3 while the crucial one is something else.. anything to consider here?

tks by the way
