No most Apps and programs will not work correctly - Some games may work ok
The reason for this is every app and program installed saves information to a registry - where it can find the files and shortcuts created when the programs installs. And this not longer exists on a fresh windows install - so files cannot be found and personal information during the install is not there
Windows does have a Migrate tool which may help
