i have a problem with my display driver. it tells me that display driver stopped responding. my monitor went black for 1-2 seconds and after that a popup balloon showed on notification tray.
it happen this morning, when i turn on pc. a night before, my pc run normally, and i play football manager about 6 hours.

here's my pc spec
psu 450w
core2duo 2.6 ghz
ram 2gb
asus p5gcmx
nvidia geforce gt210 1gb

i never turn on my pc about a month, and last night is the first time i turn on my pc again. the display driver stopped responding thing had happen before, but it happen differently this time.
the black screen went for about ten seconds after windows started and it happen often. and theres glitch in my monitor after windows started. the more i restart the computer, the worse glitch shown.
i have try start windows on safe mode, it looks ok when in safe mode, but when i start normally, the glitch shown again.

i have update driver into 340.52 version, but it make the glitch even worse. i have reinstall my vga and it didnt had any effect. i have try update my windows, but it still same. is this the time my vga retire?

Solution
I had to read the manual.. yep its only one pcie x16 for graphics card.. it was mentioned you can PCI card on pcie x1, but your card won't fit on its slot anyway...

Since you mentioned your system works without graphics card, it seems your board is ok, no chance you can try the card to other pc hence we cannot check it further, your ram nor mboard.. So better look for another card... or you may consider to upgrade your whole system... 2gb ram is kinda low now imo.

Sorry dude I cannot help you further.. But you can ask anytime if you're planning to upgrade either here or another forum..

how about remove graphics card from slot and re-seat? Cable could also be cause of flashing/flickering, it could also be drivers.

From elevated command prompt: type sfc /scannow
or tweak Nvidia Control panel.

Have you tried removing your card from motherboard? Then connect your monitor directly to your Motherboard video port...

We cannot say your graphics card is failing if you are not also getting post even you are just using on-board graphics (motherboard video port).. If no post, it could be your motherboard or psu..

So your motherboard is fine and psu can handle no video card running... There is suppose to be another pcie (pcei x1), can you plug your graphics card into that another pcie slot of your motherboard? Let see if your card and cooler will run..

Inspect the motherboard for dust and remove with brush..

When your system is ON, check also the temp of your CPU (RealTemp program)..

nope, i never test that card. as i told you before, i dont have any friend that use a desktop pc. they all use laptop and notebook, etc. so i thik i must buy a new motherboard to test it on another pc.
but i think the case is closed. i have buy a new graphic card, pixelview radeon hd 6570 2gb, and it work perfectly on my pc right now.
i play football manager 14 and it looks quite amazing lol.

sorry for late reply... i do research in another town, so i just can go online about once a week :(

Have you tried plug the Nvidia geforce gt210 to another pcie slot of the motherboard?

- Just to check if the board pcie slots is working ok.. you'll know also if the video card is failing.. Let say if something wrong with the pcie slot of your board, you'll still get no display even if you got new card...
