Hi Guys,
So I finally got my new rig up and running and am loving my shiny GTX980s in SLI!!
Now I'm beginning to think that my FX 8350 OC'd to 4.7Ghz is kind of letting the side down a bit.l
I have never been an Intel man but I'm ready to take the plunge and swap out my mother board and CPU.

I mostly play Dayz mod and ARMA 3 and at the moment I get FPS anywhere between 20 and 55 but I'm looking for a nice i7 to overclock and stabilize my FPS a bit... hopefully more towards the 60FPS mark.

Any ideas which would be the best?
I'm looking at Mother board + CPU = £600

Cheers guys.

P.s I can bend my budget a bit if the performance is worth it.

Wow thanks i7Baby, Speedy reply!!
Bearing in mind that have built a 4k, semi future proof P.C and don't mind paying the premium... to some extent. Would you still go for the i5 4690k?

You asked "Which CPU For Arma 2/3 DayZ Mod/SA" - answer: i3 or Pentium and above. The i5 would shoe it in. And you'd only need one 970 - not 2 x 980s for such easy games.

Fair point, I'll change the title.
I already have 2x GTX 980 in SLI so i'm looking for a CPU that will do them justice.
I also have a 4k monitor, not sure if the CPU has much effect on this.

Just get an i7 then - 4790k or 5930k depending on your budget.
