I'm thinking of getting a 1080p monitor but my GPU cannot run most games at that resolution...The games like Fifa 15 will run easily at 1080p but others like Battlefield will not so how will those games look when running at 900p compared to native 900p monitor? My current monitor is very old Acer X173W and the resolution is 1440*900...most games run well at this resolution but the contrast ratio and colours are really poor...

GTX 750(non ti) with 1 GB VRam...So should I buy 900p monitor instead?...I'm really not satisfied with my monitor for some reason and games look better on my 768p TV.....
Here's a link to my current monitor-http://www.cnet.com/products/acer-x173w-lcd-monitor/specs/
and are u sure that games will look blurry on 900p because I've heard that it happens only with text....

Will there be black borders when aspect ratio is same? I'm talking about 1600*900 not 1440*900....the latter one is the native resolution of my current monitor which I'm looking to upgrade..

Well I bought Dell S2240L and I get blurry images playing at non native resolutions but there are no black borders....I do get black borders when playing at non native resolutions...I'm using Nvidia control panel to create resolution of 1920*823 so now I get vertical black bars and no blurring......I'm still curious how Console games(especially XBONE) runs without any blurriness on 1080p TV?

The TV has an upscaler so it will overscan the image to "1080p".
Most monitor do not have this feature built in since you can use the graphic card to do so.

Increasing sharpness of monitor also reduces blurriness and using 1600*900 resolution and leaving the rest of the screen blank by selecting no scaling setting on Nvidia control panel removes the problem....The problem isn't not as bad as I anticipated.....
