Wanting to upgrade my secondary PC to give to a friend. What should I upgrade (Limited Budget)

Specs are as follows:

AMD Athlon x4 760k Black Edition
4GB Corsair XMS3 1333Mhz DDR3
Radeon R9 270 MSI Gaming 2GB
500GB Seagate 7200 HDD
MSI A78M-E35 Motherboard
Case is a Zalman Z3 Plus

I have two choices in this matter.

Choice number 1:

Upgrade the RAM and Storage to a 1TB HDD & 8GB HyperX Fury RAM

Choice Number 2:

Upgrade CPU & Motherboard to an Intel Pentium G3258 & MSI H87M-E33




I can flex but I'm at a strict £100 - £125 budget.

It's not specifically for him, it's still being kept in my house and I'll still be using it for some games. But I definitely want to upgrade it a little for my own benefit.

I would just add the memory, check and see how much drive space you have left if you still have plenty their no reason to add more at this time.

EDIT you never listed what operating system the PC has if it's just a 32 bit OS their no reason to add more memory it will only recognize like 3.7 or so.
