Since a few years I've had a dell 2209wa, an 1650*1080 IPS Monitor. I bought it back then cause of the fear of bad colors in TN monitors (don't know what "bad" colors really mean, surely red must still be red?).

Anyway I want a 24 inch, 1980*1080 Monitor so Iam looking for one to buy. The games I play are WoW and Sc2, and Iam thinking - will a 144mhz Monitor make a difference for me?

My eyes are abit sensitive I think, atleast after hours of constant gaming, so if there are monitors that are kinder on the eyes thats a plus for me, or is it just to lower the Brightness settings on every monitor?

Other then this I dont know, my price tag are at maximum 350$. Iam still fearful of "bad colors" at a Tn screen, what comes to mind is my grandmas old TV from 1970..

Hey,

I dont see 144 hz really making much of a difference on SC. I have one and it works great game slike WoW/FPS.

Biggest question is, do you have a system that will push frames up that high? If you dont, 144 hz refresh will effectively be doing nothing for you. If you do, you'll probably enjoy the Asus VG248QE. Some people complain that it does not have the *best* colors, but realistically, they're absolutely fine. With a little bit of calibration you can get them in a spot that is very, very nice. You can even use an ICC profile to set them if you want. It is a 1080p monitor, just FYI, so no super mega ultra 38k resolutions here

I personally use this monitor and have no complaints.
