The issue occurs when I'm watching videos online (i.e. Youtube). The screen freezes, entire laptop stops responding and audio playing becomes extremely slowed down, distorted and jittery. Within 5-30 secs it's back up (usually the video just resumes) and anything i did while it was frozen all happens at once, mouse moving etc.
Happens every hour or so, and after a particularly long freeze it closes what i was watching and this message pops up in the corner: "Display driver Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers for Windows 7(R) stopped responding and has succesfully recovered"
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you have multiple programs opened then it then you watch movie or youtube, is like you system is idle and with the programs opened, it will take lots of memory resources specifically you are using intel HD as graphics during the time which sharing memory from RAM. You may check it on Task Manager > Performance, look for memory usage (%).. You may close other programs when watch or if you leave it idle to lessen the usage of memory.

It could also cpu is overheating, leave the bottom free from intake/exhaust for ventilation. You may check the CPU temp (CoreTemp or RealTemp) if it happen again.
