I just want to know if I need a new router. I loose my wifi from my living room to my bedroom and it's only 25 feet away from

Solution
Well is that 25 feet through three walls and one of them is the bathroom with old iron piping?? Signals drop as they are 'interfered' with, interference can be solid objects, electrical signals, etc. Also depends what 'device' your using to 'connect' to the Wifi, if your using 802.11a instead of 802.11n this has a much shorter range (25 feet or so). Can also be a malware messing with your system for the LOLZ or even bad 'old' drivers that newer updated ones resolve this issue.

I would first do these steps to make sure the 'device' end is as we 'expect'

Download Speccy and copy-paste the first tab here to show us your specs

Download Malwarebytes and do a FULL (it is on quick as default) Scan, repeat till system is cleaned.

Remove any Antivirus you have (Microsoft Security Essentials doesn't work, and many whom have Norton keep finding it is interfering with program fully working by blocking different parts) and install either AVAST! or AVG from www.filehippo.com (both FREE and top rated successful protection by two independent labs). Again do a full scan till clean.

Run Windows Update and make sure ALL patches and OPTIONALs (except BING) are installed.

Download and run SlimDrivers to ensure all drivers are up to date.

Tell us the results of all this, 90% of the time these resolve the issues for people posting here.

Once done I would then look at what your environment is like. Download Xirrus http://www.xirrus.com/products/network-management-and-software/network-management/wi-fi-inspector and look at all the Wifis nearby. Are there alot? Are there some REALLY strong /close SIGNALS? What channels are they on? Is it the same channel your using (can be changed in your router, best channels are 6, 11, 9, 7.
