I recently purchased an a10 5800k from amazon official market, not a random seller and I noticed that my processor says made in china, and everyone elses says made in malaysia. Have I been sold a fake? Shall I return it?

They did contract a Chinese semiconductor manufacturer to cpu's.

There have been plenty that were manufactured in China. A quick Google of the topic should allay your fears.

I have tried to google similar topics but I've been unsuccesful, which is why I've created an account just to get your opinions. I've been a long time lurker and have learnt a lot from this forum, am I wrong to be skeptical about a china made cpu?

I've just got an email back from AMD's support team, and they've put my fears to rest by validating my made in china processor as a genuine AMD product. I gave them my serial no. and I attatched a pic showing the top of the box and they got back to me instantly.

Heres a website they also redirected to me on how to determine the authencity of your AMD processor.
