Overclocking issue with 2 prime95 workers stopping

So ive just got my new motherboard as my asrock extreme3 990fx just wasnt upto the overclocking job, and ive not got a msi 990FXA-GD65 as i heard this would do the job nicely, and better yet, i got an awesome price on it.. SOi threw on a nice 4.4ghz overclock at 1.38 V and ive gotten into windows, ran prime95 and this is what happened...
After about 2 minutes of running the software, worker 6 stopped working first, and then worker 5 went out next, the temps are nice and low, with the cpu running at around 50 degrees celcius...
So what could be the cause of the cores stopping? do they need to be fed more voltage? or should i drop the oc a touch?

Please give me something to try, as i wanna get it running as stable as possible..
Thanks!

Solution
Bmacsys is right on its now experiment time each will be different just keep your cores under 62 and the voltage under 1.5 and you will be fine bud and look at the guide I posted

no, its the 8320, but im guessing that is still relevant? and also what clock should i start at? im a bit of a newbie to overclocking, and could do with some guidance, im basically just increasing the multiplier, disabling all of the powersaving stuff and saving and rebooting...

4.6GHZ @1.5V rebooted while using prime95 after about a min so i put the clock down too 4.4GHZ @1.5V and worker 6 just failed....

It literally can take many hours of tweaking to get a really good, stable overclock. You literally can tweak the EUFI bios on a good enthusiasts board for weeks. And that is if you are knowledgeable and experienced. Using Prime95 is the way to go to check for real stability. I call two hours of Prime95 with no errors whatsoever a stable overclock. I have my 8320 stable at 4.5 GHz in my first generation Sabertooth. Voltage and temps are the key. You need a very good, stout motherboard. That is a must. Also a good winter overclock may become unstable in the summer. The above link is good. I won't mention the overclock sites by name because I am pretty sure the mods here will delete my reply if I do.

Check out those forums. There is also the aspect of having really good airflow in your case. You could have a great cpu cooler but it won't do a darn thing if the hot air isn't expelled from your case. Maybe putting a 80mm fan on the backside of your cpu socket with 3M double sided tape. Putting a small fan on your mosfet heatsink. These things do wonders for your overclock and stability. And they cost little to nothing.
