Hi everyone!

I have already received a lot of indirect help from this site so thought I may as well sign-up myself.

Currently completing a custom build and I have a spare cable coming from my LED fan, it has a white box with a push switch leading to a small 2 pin connector. I believe this is a toggle for the LED. Does this have to be plugged into the motherboard?

I have already plugged the 3 pin connector from the fan into the motherboard and I'm not sure if both are required.

Thanks in advance

Good picture. If you want the fan LED to work, then plug that into any 2,3,4 pin CHASSIS_FAN or SYS_FAN header and turn on the switch; otherwise wrap it up with a cable tie out of the way of any components.

thanks for the reply nostall (nice name btw :p)

I only have 2 CHA_FAN connections and 1 CPU-FAN connection on this mobo.

Currently I have my H100i plugged into one CHA_FAN (just for the tachometer reading) and the 3pin from this front fan plugged into the other CHA_FAN.

Can I plug the LED switch into the CPU_FAN connection without problems, OR would it make sense to move the H100i to the CPU_FAN and place this one in it's CHA_FAN connection.

Does it even matter?
