downgrading my laptop

my laptop's default windows version is windows 8 but i changed it to windows 8 pro and i would like to turn it back again to just windows 8, will factory resetting my laptop can bring it back to its old windows 8 version?

yes. you will need to reactivate it. but as long as you havent done it 5 previous times in less than a year (i dunno if they still do this but they used to) it should activate no problem.

Just wondering why the change? There is little difference between the two, all you have to do is reapply your Key and it will change by default.
