What to do when Adobe Flash Player update conflicts with Avast and freezes laptop.

Thank you for the clarification. It's just the basic program that came with the pc. On the plugins page, a link next to Adobe Flash Player said "download critical update." Several website kept telling me to install the flash player. When I went to do that, it said it was installed but not enabled. On the plugins page, it was enabled tho. This is in Google Chrome.
