Yet I see it being spec'ed lower given you included a case and monitor to match the price.

The Xeon is actually equal or sometimes better than the 4790K as it's Hyper-Threaded (I think), so it actually has 8 threads (a thread is a virtual core).

Then the 4690K would do the job just fine, but not if you do heavy editing.
