This is my first build, last night I did my external build to make sure it boots and I'm already stuck and worried I didn't make the right choice in building instead of buying. I have the MSI 970 gaming motherboard a 750watt power supply 8G of memory, AMD 8320 CPU, that number might be wrong could be 9320 and an evga nvidia gtx 660 video card. First I'm not 100% positive where the power pins are and what I think might be the power pins are not starting it up :(

Solution
Metal pins sticking up from the board
Connector blocks JFP1 and JFP2
at the lower corner of the board that will be nearest the front when its mounted in a case

You will find a very nice diagram of the pin assignments on page 21 of the first chapter of the manual

The polarity of the power and reset switches is NOT important . The polarity of the LED's is , but it wont harm anything if you get it wrong . The light wont go is all
the front panel header pins are usually at the bottom and front of the board

Your manual will tell you which is which on the block , and so will the small printing on the board next to them . There will be two pins for PWR . two for RST . Two for HDD LED , and two for PWR LED

If you have everything plugged in correctly then touching the two PWR pins briefly with the tip of a screwdriver will start the board

Thank you, now that I'm back home I found the pins and the diagram on page 21, feel pretty dumb right about now but it won't start and I'm pretty sure everything is connected correctly.
