Hi there,

I am looking at getting a Motherboard with the socket 1150 however I have a Intel i5 2500k which I believe is a 1155 socket. Does this mean to upgrade my Motherboard I'd need to renew my CPU at the same time?

Many thanks to any response.

The MB will have no detrimental effect on that gfx card. Your PCIe X16 slot is ver 2.0. No card available today can saturate the PCIe x16 slot 2.0 @ 16 lanes.
You can use the GTX 780 Ti confidently (w/o changing MBs) as long as you have a good quality 600W PSU or better.

What motherboard would you recommend? I was only looking for a new Motherboard because I was after a new Graphics cards and was unsure mine was up to the mark.

Current Spec:
CPU: Intel i5 2500K @ 3.3GHz
Mobo: ASUS P8H61
RAM: Kingston 8GB DDR3 1300MHz
Graphics: Radeon HD 6950 2GB

I am really interested in the Zotac GeForce GTX 780Ti OC "GHz Edition" 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card for the price at the moment, if this viable with my system?

Appreciate any assistance in advance.
