Freesync now? wtb a monitor

I want to upgrade my monitor and when i found out gsync was only available for nvidia cards :( boo urns.

ive heard about adaptive sync but i cant see anything about it at the retailers. will i just have to wait for a freesync monitor to upgrade or is there something for amd users that will work now?

If a monitor has a displayport version of 1.2a it will be able to work with AdaptiveSync and FreeSync. We will not see AdaptiveSync or FreeSync until its release, of course, so you are going to have to wait until the official release.
