How bad of a bottleneck

So i have a A10-6800K would it be crazy to install a GTX 970 into it?

pretty much but you can reduce the bottlenecking by overclocking the processor if you use it with stock speed you may loose upto 20-25 fps depending on the game.

If your plan is to eventually change out the cpu, that is not so crazy.
You will be able to use max eye candy and higher resolutions up front.

Some games will be cpu bound.

yeah i will be changing the cpu over to a 4690k later, and well to help reduce it i will overclock it then
