Does a PCIe 3.0 (x16) graphics card work with a PCIe 1.0 (x16) or a PCIe 3.0 (x1)?

Hi, i thought it was about time that i bought a new graphics card. So, i done some research and found out that the GTX 750ti would best suit me due to its very cheap price and the tremendous amount of power that it packs.

But it said that its interface is a PCIe 3.0 (x16). I went into my computers specifications and discovered that my PC only has a PCIe 1.0 (x16) slot as well as a PCIe 3.0 (x1) slot.

Will the graphics card support these slots?

It would work in the 1.0 x 16 slot but you would take a performance hit (not a lot) depending on the game you were playing, could you give us the link for your MB?

PCIE 3.0 x1? That must be a typo since I do not think there is any motherboard out there with PCIE 3.0 which supports less than x8 on the primary PCIE slot.

It would help if you said what your actual motherboard model was.

All the info of my PC is here. I think you might be right; i might have typed it out wrong.
Also, this was all i could find about my PC due to the fact that my PC is part of a discontinued series.

Yes that card will work and you will not saturate the PCI-E lane with that video card. It should be a really good upgrade enjoy!
Put the card in the top spot near the processor.
If you need to move the WIFI for the video card to fit just move the WIFI down to another spot.

Yes the 750Ti should work fine in the 1.0 x16 slot, it is not really a high performance card so it should not saturate the bus very much at all. Just FYI, PCIe slots and PCIe cards are all upward and backward comparable, as long as the physical slot is the same as the card edge connecter.
