Unexplainably high ping whilst playing games.

TL: DR - Abnormal ping problems that occur only while I play games or access certain servers ( e.g Teamspeak, etc. ) but remain low and stable when I ping the servers through the CMD.

Hey there, folks!

I've been having some really high ping results the past two days, and I can't seem to find a reason for it being this way.

This mainly happens while I play games it would seem, because when I ping the game-servers' IP Address through the "CMD" whilst not playing, I get a stable ping of 40-70 ( Dependent on where the server is located, of course. )

The ping I get while I play the game, however, maintains an unstable ping around the 200s, even spiking up to 2000-3000 from time to time.
Hell, even in Planetside 2 I managed to climb up to a ping of 80k

I've tried to ping several websites as well, everything ranging from Youtube to local news-sites, and there is nothing abnormal there either.
I've also pinged to my router and ISP, and there is nothing wrong there.

General info:
I'm on a desktop, having an Ethernet-cable connected to a TP-Link Signal Extender.
The distance between the router and the extender is roughly 5 meters, with two walls between them.

There are two users on the internet at the time being, but I do not believe the other users usage of the internet has much to say about my ping, considering the ping issues remained after the other user shut off his computer and went to bed and the fact that the problem started yesterday.

Anything you can do to help is greatly appriciated. If you need more information, just ask.

Let's do some basics first;

Download Speccy and copy-paste the first tab here to show us your temps

Download Malwarebytes and do a FULL (it is on quick as default) Scan, repeat till system is cleaned.

Remove any Antivirus you have (Microsoft Security Essentials doesn't work, and many whom have Norton keep finding it is interfering with program fully working by blocking different parts) and install either AVAST! or AVG from www.filehippo.com (both FREE and top rated successful protection by two independent labs). Again do a full scan till clean.

Run Windows Update and make sure ALL patches and OPTIONALs (except BING) are installed.

Download and run SlimDrivers to ensure all drivers are up to date.

Tell us the results of all...

Next I would download Xirrus http://www.xirrus.com/products/network-management-and-software/network-management/wi-fi-inspector onto a wireless system (you said your desktop is wired and using a wireless extender which wouldn't work for this). See how many wifi are near you, is it ALOT? What about SIGNAL STRENGTH of those closest to you, are they very strong? Check the channel, is the channel your wifi is on being interfered with the other ones?

Given without ANY of the information above to help make a better picture, to me it sounds like when gaming (which is ALOT more traffic then a simple 'ping 192.0.0.1',) that it maxes out potentially the extender, your wifi, or your router / connection. I would suspect the following:
What connection type is the Extender / Router communicating? 802.11A,B,G,N or AC?
What happens if you UNSECURE the Modem and Extender, and test, does the performance improve?
Move the desktop (yeah sorry but you want a solution and we need some solid answers) to wire into the router and do the SAME tests you did for this post, does it change? IF SO, then most likely we are having a issue with the Extender / Router Wifi. IF NOT then the issue is A) your system B) other systems (remember iPhones, BluRay, Consoles, etc. ALL connect to it as well) C) Router itself D) ISP connection (had it before that the wiring from the pole to the house needed to be replaced BUT was only identifiable once I got a tech to PLUG IN at the PoE and test back to the office and saw on his equipment all sorts of data corruption on the signal).
