I've managed to blow two power supplies through intense gaming (one was a CiT 500W, the other an Alpine 600W) and I was wondering if my new PSU should be good enough. I found a website that tells me I should be using a minimum of 550W however it has blown a 600W (uncertified 80+) yet I've read other posts on this forum that say a 500W is good enough for rigs way more powerful than mine.

I was wondering if a 500W EVGA 80+ certified would be good enough for my PC? Here are its specs:

Motherboard: ASUS M5A78L-M LX3
HDD: A regular Toshiba 7200 rpm 500 GB
CPU: AMD FX4300 quad-core @ 3.8 GHz, usually OC'd to 4.5 GHz
GPU: Sapphire Dual-X R9 270X OC
RAM: 2 GB Crucial DDR3 1866 MHz + 4 GB Kingston DDR3 1333 MHz (I'm upgrading the Kingston soon to 1866 MHz)

By "intense gaming" I mean things like Ultra Skyrim + mods, Shadow of Mordor, Battlefield 4, et cetera. I don't want to have to buy my games a second time for console just to play them, so I am looking for a good (but relatively cheap) PSU.
