Will my Windows 7 product key work with any installation CD?

Hi. Sorry if this a stupid question but I've lost my installation CD and wondered if it's possible to use another Windows 7 Home Premium installation disc and activate it with the product key that is on the sticker on the side of my computer?

Sure. The disk itself is just software, a separate component from the key. As long as your key is genuine (and the sticker that came with a PC would be) that will work. Since it's not a recovery disk specific to that model you will have to install the proper device drivers after installation, which can be downloaded from the system manufacturer's website.
