every time I launch Internet Explorer, it says that it can't display the page. I've tried the troubleshooting options, and looked for a thread with this question...it hasn't helped!!please reply!

Solution
Generally if it says it can't display the page, it's because you're not connected to the internet. In the lower right hand corner of your screen should be a status symbol for internet connections. If you use wireless or wired it will be a different icon. A wired connection should be a monitor icon. If it's a wireless connection it will look like several connection bars. If it has a yellow exclamation point or other symbol over it, or no icon at all, there's a connection problem.

I'd start by running the connection wizard.

Go to control panel and open network and sharing center. Click on troubleshoot problems and in the next window select internet connections. Follow the instructions and see what it finds.
