Wi-fi doesn't have a valid IP configuration? Plus it says getting a limited connection?

I have a linksys router, which is getting kinda old. Anyway, I had an issue last week where it lost it's configuration, so I had to set it back up the way it was. Ever since then, anyone in my household can connect except me. (through wifi that is, regular ethernet is fine). It keeps telling me that the connection is limited. Troubleshooting says that the wi-fi doesn't have a valid ip config.

I've tried:
- the remove Bonjour from firewall trick. Didn't work.
- Reset modem, router, etc. etc. Didn't work either.

Funny thing is.. a few days ago all of a sudden it DID work. Next day it was back to its old back self: no wifi again...

Was the passcode for the network changed? If you supply an incorrect password, it will state "limited connectivity". Usually you have to "forget" that connection, then refresh and connect again.

Make sure that WPA/WPA2 is required....and a valid password - don't want your neighbors stealing your bandwidth....

is your computer using a static ip but the router set for only dhcp? meaning that in the router the ip you want static is not set static for you. If this is the case you need to set the static ip in the router to the one you are using or there is a possibility that the ip you are using on the computer has been given out to someone eles through dhcp

None of the above.. I checked all those. In the end I 'simply' removed the wireless adapter from the device manager without removing the install for the driver. Then reinstalled.. and it started working correctly.
