Hi guys, This is my first question to this community, so forgive me if this has already been asked. I have 2 HD:
1. wdc wd1600aabs 00h4a0
2. wdc wd10ezrx-00l4hb0

These are the specs for each one:
WD1600AABS 160 GB SATA 3 Gb/s 7200 RPM Avg Seek 8.9 ms Buffer 2 MB
WD10EZRX 1 TB SATA 6 Gb/s IntelliPower Avg. Seek N/A Buffer 64 MB

I was wondering which one is faster, and which would be better to contain the OS?
Thanks in advance

7200 RPM drives are usually faster but yours is old, even if the new drive is SATA 6GB it will not use all the bandwidth of the SATA 3GB bus so it is hard to tell but I would guess the 7200 drive will be faster even if old. IT is a good size for an OS drive as well.
