Hey there,

So I am considering getting the Alienware Alpha computer/console thingy. I currently have a custom built system. With an i7 4770 and GTX 750ti. I don't really game much anymore and I am looking to downsize to something really small. I realize that I could build one but I don't see anyway to get a computer to the same size as the Alpha with what it has inside. I want it THAT small.

1) My question is.. is the 860m that is in the Alpha close to the 750ti I have right now? I plan to put my current i7 4770, SSD and RAM into the Alpha as it was stated that only the 860m is unchangable.

2. The other question, how long can I expect to use the Alpha with an i7 4770 (Estimate) with a 860m? I plan on playing the games I already play with my 750ti, watching netflix, doing school work with it and web browsing and that's all I ever will need it to do.

3. Bonus question: what is the difference between a 1x1 wifi card inside and a 2x2 wifi card? Thats the only difference that I will not be upgrading and will be getting the 1x1 with the lowest end model. Don't worry about this if you don't know..

Any help would be great. Thanks.

1.The GTX 750 ti is a better performing GPU overall, but the GTX 860m is pretty close to it in terms of performance.

2. A 4770k is a pretty high end CPU and the GTX 860m should be able to run any game at medium settings, so I would guess that your alpha would last for 5-7 years before it gets outdated

3. 2x2 cards can move data pretty much twice as fast as a 1x1 card.

Why not get a mini itx motherboard and this case- http://www.amazon.com/Rosewill-Mini-ITX-Computer-Legacy-U2-B-Window/dp/B00H8942XC/ref=sr_1_25?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1413691415&sr=1-25&keywords=mini+itx+case. Still Small. The 860m is weaker than the 750 ti by about 15%.
