Up until now i have been sing avg free but i am sick of its shit. The question i want to ask is should i use some other free antivirus (most likely avira) or a paid copy of Norton antivirus (had it on for a bit but again got sick of its bloatware and stuff. What do you guys think?

I do not like the full version. Eugh. Just saying. I find that it blocks too many websites that I don't want it to block.

I would recommend ESET/Kaspersky if you want to pay or MSE/Avast/Avira if you want to stay free.

If your running windows Vista or 7 you should use Microsoft Security Essentials. It is free to download and install and it is all you really need. I do also use Malwarewarebytes free but I am going to purchase the full version. If you install both MSE
google the instruction on running them both. I have use MSE for years with no problems.

I have windows 8.1 and it comes with windows defender. Go in to control panel an make sure it is on .It is good and free. Does not slow down your system. It will do the job. That is what I use .
