Boot Order Issue

I recently bought a SSD for my desktop. Previously to this purchase, I had a 2 TB HDD. After I installed Windows 7 on the SSD and reinstalled all drivers, I plugged back in the HDD. Upon turning the PC on, I went to my Gigabyte BIOS, version F2, and changed the boot order so the SSD would be the boot drive (the whole point of the purchase). When the computer restarted, it booted from the HDD. I repeated my process of switching the boot order and the same thing happened. The problem seems to be "Windows Boot Manager" from the HDD automatically moves to 1st. The only way I am able to boot from SSD is to use the Boot Override function in BIOS. This will be very annoying if I have to do this every time I turn my computer on. If you have any suggestions on how to remove this Boot Manager from the HDD that would be great or other solutions. One thing I though of was to delete/reformat the partition on the HDD, as I will only be using it to store data and install games. Any help would be appreciated.

I presume you installed Win7 to the SSD with the HDD data cable disconnected?
Also check that you not only set the boot order to make the SSD first, but also set the SDD as the first or initial hard drive.
It is usually in a different section of BIOS.

Obviously try the HDD reformat if all else fails, since you don't seem too concerned about keeping the old files. But take the time to do a full format, not a quick format.

Yes, I installed Win7 on the SSD while the HDD was unplugged from the mobo. I went through my BIOS and a few guides on my BIOS and I could not find where to make the SSD "first" drive. I have done this in the past on previous computers and have had no problem. I also went to disk management to make sure my active partition was on the SSD. That did not work. I also used EasyBCD 2.2 to rewrite boot manager and that did not work. I guess reformat is all that is left. Hopefully that gets rid of the Boot Manager in BIOS. Thanks for the help.
