Hi everyone! A few days ago I finished building my new rig and got it all working. Friday I was able to play games on the max graphics (Rome II, Mount and Blade Warband, Shogun II, League of Legends) without ANY issues. Yesterday same for half the day, until suddenly hell broke lose.

My games of Rome II and Shogun II would keep crashing.
Shogun II would often crash in/right after the loading screens.
Rome II often randomly crashes during my turns.
Last night even League of Legends crashed (very low end game).

The issues I'm experiencing:
PC makes a weird loud EHHHH noise, screen goes to completely one colour OR
Monitor just shuts off ''no input signal''
Sometimes even my whole PC just restarts

I noticed a few times if I alt-tab immediately after something happens, I get the following error:

Nvidia display/kernel mode driver has stopped working and recovered succesfully.

I've tried a LOT of fixes, including:

Regedit fix (both the values 2 and 8) in graphic cards
Put performances to maximum
Reinstalling the games
Tweaking the games

I am a complete noob with computers. I could really use some help. If you suggest something, please do explain how I would go about doing that.

Thanks a lot!

A desperate gamer

P.S.: my specs

Asus B85M-G Mobo
Nvidia GTX 760 Graphic card
2x 4GB RAM Crucial Ballistix
Intel i5-4460 Processor
Cooler Master B700 (700W) PSU

Solution
Sorry for the double post, but I'd like to explain for future reference how I fixed it.

What I did were a few things.

Use ''Run'' and type ''regedit''
HKEYLOCALMACHINE > SYSTEM > Currentcontrolset > control > graphicsdrivers. Right click ''graphicsdrivers'', click new >Dword (32-bit) value. Modify the value to 8

What I did next was delete ALL of my graphic driver installed (the nvidia one). It will swap to the build-in one on your motherboard.
Then use driver sweeper, select nvidia, and let it erase ALL of your nvidia driver files.
I then re-installed the nvidia driver through the installation CD I got with the graphic card, and did NOT get any updates.

Now it all works flawlessly!
