My friend wishes to build a very highend machine for his new man cave,he wants to have friends over and be able to have both of them playing a game together on the same machine. Could some1 do a build for the minimalbuild that will acomplish this running 60-75fps(his words not mine).

He is a hard core pc gamer,I am not sure how he plans to do it(not my problem) and he has not decided on a budget so just go low and work up would be my guess, sorry for the lack of info.
My guess would be a partition.

If wanting 2 monitors, 2 keyboards and 2 mice on one PC both being used at the same time then I have never seen anything that would allow this to work. As the CPU and GPU would be shared across two users I suspect two mid range PC's would give better performance anyway.

Also with no budget or more detail its impossible to come up with a build, you are better off looking at other build which have been recommended on here and see if that helps to work out what he needs. I'm surprised a hard core PC gamer does not already know what they want?

He is starting with crossfire gtx 970s and a 4 set of some cpu i am not sure which, the reason he wants to go with 1 machine is that he had that stuff already. Having 2 cards 4 cpus and a hdd he can partition allows him to run wat he wants,i have seen him do it. He just wants to upgrade everything except the gpus

You dont crossfire 970's, you sli them. He wont have 4 cpus in one machine, he may have a 4 core single cpu. I also don't believe you can run a game twice, once for each user. If he is trying to run a virtual machine I still dont think it can be done and the game play would be awful.

The sli cross fire mistake was jsut a mind blank but the 4 cpu kit came in a pack i am not sure were he got them, but we played one of the old call of duty games like this. I will find out details of how he has done this tomorow.
