Hi guys,

I have a 600 va APC UPS. i am getting new 650 watts PSU.

My main use is browsing with 100 tabs in firefox or chrome, and 1 or 2 light weight apps. Also have av, malwarebyte and few programs, thats it.

My New rig details

600 va apc ups
seasonic S12II 650 watts psu
Acer al1702w monitor
asus optical drive - 1
wd 1 tb blue hard drive - 1
cooler master hyper 212x cpu cooler
asus z97 a motherboard
saphhire amd radeon hd 7770 1gb Gddr5
corsair 1x8 gb ddr3 ram

What's important is the current draw of the whole system, not the PSU. As an example, if the system draws 200 watts, then your UPS has to be powerful enough to handle that load plus the monitor. A 650W PSU draws the same power as a 400W PSU if the system requires 200 watts. If a system draws 200 watts and the PSU is 85% efficient, then it draws 200 x .85 = 235 watts. Presume a 600 VA APC UPS is 65% efficient; therefore it can deliver approximately 390 watts. With your system and your type of utilization you'll be fine.
