I've just bought new Ram "G.SKILL SNIPER - 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 2400MHZ -F3-2400C11D-8GSR" , but when i installed on my mobo ,i noticed in the bios that although it detects RAM at dimm A2 & B2 its running in Single channel and not full bus (only 1600)
I switch to another dual channel (A1 & B1) & boot back. Bios showed 2 dimm slot working but still in Single Channel only.
And in both situations when im in windows 8.1 , it showed 8GB but only use 4GB on task manager
I tried to test with 1 ram at a time .
A1 - no boot
A2 - no boot
B1- boot
B2- boot with full bus 2400

After that , I tried to config in OC tweak and of course use XMP profile but nothing has changed . I also checked my cpu 's pin and its fine . So my question is was my modo damaged and why it showed just single channel on both situation . Plz help me , i am at a loss

If your first 2 slots aren't working with either RAM, it may mean that those slots are faulty. To be absolutely they are defective, if you can test with a other compatible RAM. In Windows 8.1, are you running a 32-bit operating system? Use CPU-Z to identify clock speeds and all hardware related stuff.
