Any way to know how old a used mobo is?

Is there a way to know IF and how much/long a used motherboad has been used?

I mean.. both checking it visually before installation and checking it through BIOS or whatever other way once it's installed.

If I buy a second-hand mobo sold as "like new", can I check if this is true?

It's an Amazon's returned product but, I think.. someone can:
1) Overclock hard their mobo for say 1/2 years.
2) buy a new one later
3) send the old one (still working) as a return
LOL
can't they?

So I should forget this appealimg bargain? hmm
