Hello everyone. I just built my first computer in 12 years and have encountered an issue. My specs:
Rosewill R536-Red case with 500 watt power supply.
MSI A78M-E45 mother board.
Sapphire Radeon R7 250 1GB GDDR5, PCI-Express 3.0 (x16) graphics card with CrossFireX.
Western Digital WD10EZEX 7200 RPM hard drive.
2 x 4 gig Kingston HyperX Fury 1866mhz DDR3 RAM (model HX318C10FRK2/8).
Pioneer BDR-209DBK-KIT 16x Blu Ray Writer.
AMD A8-7600 FM2+ processor.
Asus VE228H 21.5 inch full HD monitor.
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

After completing the initial install and installing Windows, the picture filled the entire screen. I then used the disc that came with my mother board and installed the audio drivers and the USB 3.0 driver. I then started installing some windows updates (My initial install was SP1). I still have a lot more updates to do, as I have only completed two rounds of updates so far. However, I realized that I needed to install the video card drivers from the disc that came with my graphics card, as it was running generic windows drivers. So I used the disc to install the drivers, and now the picture does not fit the entire screen. I have the display set to recommended (1920 x 1080 I believe). There is now about a 1 inch black boarder around the picture. I thought maybe I needed to get the newest drivers from the company's website, but I have no idea what driver to pick. It says in the manual to go to amd.com or to Sapphiretech.com to get the latest drivers. I can't find them on amd.com, and on the sapphire site, I don't which driver to chose. First, there appears to be 3 different Sapphire R7 250 1 GB GDDR5 products to chose from: low profile (which i do not believe mine is), EYEFINITY EDITION, or with Boost. I'm assuming mine is the with boost, but I really have no idea. Here is a link to the one I purchased:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=8573342&tab=7&SRCCODE=WEBLET03ORDER&cm_mmc=Email-_-WebletMain-_-WEBLET03ORDER-_-Deals&utm_source=EML&utm_medium=main&utm_campaign=WEBLET03ORDER&cm_lm=PACSWORLD@AOL.COM

I did look at the drivers listed under the one with Boost, but I have no idea which one to choose even if that is the correct model. Can someone help me with identifying the correct driver? Also, will this correct the issue of the picture not filling the screen? Should I finish all available windows updates before updating the graphics card driver? Is there a driver for my monitor that I should install? When I look in the device manager, there are 2 display adapters listed, they both used to say the same thing and had a yellow icon. After installing the graphics driver from the CD, one now identifies it as the specific graphics card and no yellow icon. The other still is a generic display adapter with the icon.

Sorry for the long post, but I wanted to give as much info as possible. Thanks so much for the help, it is greatly appreciated!!!

Mike
