Hi there, (read all below)

I recently upgraded my system with a 780 ti and new power supply, making it gaming masterpiece, I for one am very happy.

However, upon looking at temperature data I have noticed that my motherboard stays at a constant temperature of 115 degrees C! Yes, you heard me, 115 degrees C! It pops up to 116 degrees C at load or when it feels like it.

Now my motherboard is the following: http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/H81MA/overview/

Feel free to browse the above website, for more info. Now I know a lot about this stuff like ins and out of PCs however here I am at a loss. My air flow is good, my chassis is good, I mean it's cheap but good, the fans are working constantly, my GPU is fine, my power supply is excellent and hasn't failed, I have had NO blue screens/crashes of any kind, and yet my motherboard/software is saying my mobo is hotter than Katy Perry in the sahara, and she's pretty hot. As to rule out anything, I put windows in the default 'balanced' power setting rather than the high performance one, yet no change. The only thing that's going high performance is my GPU but with the entire PC at a balanced option, it should have gone down considerably, but as of yet no change.

All I can say is the temp sensors are faulty but I'm not sure and a new mobo is not what I want right now, as the trouble is too much.

So, any thoughts? I need help, MAYDAY, MAYDAY, remember though that I have experienced nothing to cause this. And the side panel is fairly cold, being nowhere near warm.

HELP

Okay, so if your motherboard is really 115c, the your case should be like an oven! Did you try touching the board to see if the reading are accurate? They are sometimes off. Also, what are the temps on your CPU? I'm sure that if your board was really above 100c than your pc should have shut itself down...

Thats the thing I haven't tried touching it and and I can't really be asked to take the side panel off haha And my chassis is fine, especially feeling around it feels fine, notr even near 10 degrees C if I am honest. And that's exactly what I was thinking as I wouldn't have a machine if these temps were so, and the thing is they don't move even after playing Crysis 3 at ultra it has no effect and it hasn't crashed and I have been playing it for considerable amounts of time, to no prevail. My CPU, runs happily at 2000C constant, lol jk its at 30C at the moment haha so what should I do?

Check out all the signs, You CPU would be hot if your board was 115c, Your PC doesn't shut down due to heat issues over 115c

Your Board is not at 115c. I can almost guarantee that, your PC would be having so many issues if it was. As funny as it sounds, you computers playing a trick on you :) And if you play Crysis 3 maxed out and your pc doesn't shut down then u are definitely okay!

Thanks for that, and you have a very big point. :D I am just going to play down to a dodgy sensor, quite why it is wrong i have no idea but again thanks for your help. And that's the thing, I have played games on it happily without any problems so yh. :D
