I've been using computer since 90s but I only built my first PC on my own last year. I still remember at that time I was running into big mess and suffering a lot. One of the nightmare was that when I took out the CPU (intel) from the old MOBO, I heard a slight unflavored sound and I found one of the pin on the MOBO side had been broken, and then I had to buy a new board. Now, I've got a new chassis and a new hard drive. I may need a new 'partial' build. But I've forgot when I have to take care of, would anyone please highlight the main points I have to note during PC build? Thanks

btw, I've got a cheap can of air duster bought few months ago , it looks like comprising of Nitrogen something, should I spray it to remove dust on the components? What do I have to take care of during that. I think it's one of the critical things I have to be very careful of.

Thanks!

I have a wood table to build on so no chance of static, about all you have to do is have a static free surface, touch the metal of the case before you start to discharge any built up in you and touch it every now and then when building.
You could buy a static strap I build several each year and don't own one. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16899261005
For the can of compressed air just keep it tilted slightly up and make sure to hold any fan blades still to keep from burning out the bearing.
