Hi everyone first post here so be gentle!
I have an A10 apu 5800k on w7 that was working fine, I shut down as normal, left a couple of days and now when I come to turn it on, the bios (gigabyte mobo) shows briefly as usual then it just sits on a black screen.
Ok so I restart and it does the same, so restart again and try and go into bios - hit delete...nothing, usb keyboard not working now so I try ps/2 keyboard. Still nothing.
I don't know what's wrong, have tried resetting cmos both shorting and removing battery, tried hdd in another pc and that works ok, tried 1 stick of ram in different slots, disconnected everything but cpu, fans all work, cpu seems to be getting hot, so it is at least getting power.
So what do I do now? Is the mobo dead even though I see splash screen? Gpu/Cpu problem?
I'm new to PC builds and completely stumped now.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
