Problem with flash player (AND .gifs??? wtf???) (GPU and/or HDMI related? BSOD)

Hello forum, its me again with another problem. For a week now I've been experiencing a rather alarming problem with flash player. Occasionally - meaning maybe one out of twenty times - my primary monitor will begin flickering like crazy upon opening a video. Imagine a bunch of black and white lines and maybe something like the task bar flashing across the screen.

Now, things to note: this has only started happening since I switched from DVI to HDMI. My secondary monitor stays completely normal while this is happening (which is connected through DVI). In fact, if the video triggering the flickering in question was on the secondary monitor and I closed it, the flickering stopped. If I held the power button on my PC long enough to trigger a restart, then canceled it the problem was gone too. Until today that is, where a video actually triggered a blue screen of death.

My main suspect is the 7950 OC since its apparently related to HDMI somehow. I'm thinking about trying to get it RMA'd but I'd like to make sure the GPU is actually the thing causing the problem before I do so. Its extremely annoying and unfortunately switching both monitors too DVI isn't an option since one of the DVI ports won't work for whatever reason. (Another problem with the 7950 perhaps)

I'd very much appreciate any suggestions to help me solve this. Thanks in advance.

EDIT: I should probably add that I do use my rig for gaming and I have not run into and issues in game. Everything runs fine and as expected.

I just checked and the only way to watch Youtube videos without flash player is by installing a Firefox plug in which covers about 10 sites and leaves the rest out.

So uninstalling Flash permanently isn't really an option - because of a good deal of sites becoming unusable and because I'd rather figure out whats wrong with my PC and fix it.

This is interesting, thank you. It looks like we were both right in a way.

I did this and it actually worked for a while, to the point where I thought the problem was solved and was going to come back to this thread to pick a solution. Unfortunately just now the same problem occurred again, weirdly enough when looking at a .gif on twitter (the hell)? I have no idea what to make of this.

Obviously my main two suspects right now are the GPU and RAM. Is there some way I can test both to see if they are causing the issue? I've decided I will try to RMA either one if it turns out to be the part causing this, both are relatively new.

it may be amd driver I had no issues until I got the 14.4 driver and now issues slight but issues and falling back to the 13.4 or 13.12 driver did not resolve them so I blame amd for screwing me over cause I had no issues until I updated

also I seen in there newer driver release notes under known issues one of my issues is now listed there , so there you go
