Hiya!

You won't need a z97 board, a 4690k or the h110 if you aren't overclocking. You could potentially save hundreds on replacing that unnecessary hardware.

You should be looking for a non-k series processor, a H or B series motherboard and the stock cooler will be sufficient.

That is a fairly awesome overclocking build though and it'd be such a shame waste that potential.

That looks good. I would change that Z97-M to a Z97-A, though. For a few dollars more you can get an ATX board. I would also change that Corsair RAM to G.Skill.

As Trenchcoat said, you don't really need a K series processor or the H110 if you aren't going to overclock. But if you have the money and don't mind spending a bit more, the build you have is great.

forgot to mention i have a 1TB HDD selected sorry. :)

You can overclock right from the start. Why wait till it gets old?

The hardware doesn't actually degrade in performance.

Your PC may feel slower after a long time of use, but that is because of accumulated junk, startup and background applications in addition to HDD data fragmentation. If you manage well enough and none of your hardware fails, after years it won't feel any slower compared to the first day of use.
