Looking for the best CPU from choices

Hello, right now I am looking at 3 CPUs that are compatible with my LGA 775 motherboard. Please suggest the best one among the three.

Not sure why you would spend over 2 grand on an old CPU but I found it cheaper on Amazon.
The Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 would be the best out of the 3

Nvm the q6600 has the most cache so it would be better. Still cheaper on amazon tho.

ACtually,I did some more research and found out that the Q8300 is only slightly better than the Q6600.

The difference between the 2 wouldn't even be noticed unless benchmarked. The main difference between the 2 is that the Q8300 has 4MB of L2 cache and the Q6600 has 8MB of l2 cache.

AH! My bad I didn't realize the currency wasn't in USD! but get either the Q6600 or the Q8300. The difference between the two is minimal. Go for the better buy

I think I'll go with Q8300 as it is newer and TDP is lesser. Also cheaper. Thanks both of you.

just now checked in game-debate site... q8300 gives 2% more boost compared to q6600 in alien isolation with 8GB RAM and a r9 285. i am also planning for a r9 285. how is it?

The R9 285 is an awesome GPU although the q8300 would bottleneck it for sure.
Try this GPU instead. http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-video-card-r9270xdc2t2gd5
Also make sure your PSU can handle it

So basically if your cpu is bottlenecking your system it means that your cpu is not powerful enough to run your gpu at 100%

Say you have a really powerful cpu like a 4930k paired with a weak gpu like a gtx 650. In that case your gpu would be the bottleneck because your cpu cant actually push the gpu any further. Thats as basic as I can get with that.

There might be a little bit of bottlenecking with a Q8300 and an r9 270x but you should be fine.

It's a nice little build.
I would change the PSU to an XFX,Antec or Seasonic 520/550W PSU.
