Hey guys I am building this new rig. This is the first PC I ever build. I will be running this on a 144Hz BENQ XL2420z 1080p monitor. I have a Razer keyboard, mouse and headphones so I'll be going for the black and green theme. I'll be using it to play CS:GO, WoW, & GTA 5 when it comes out. Here are the specs:

Case: Razer NZXT H440 Special Edition ($150)
Motherboard: ASUS Z97 SABERTOOTH MARK 1 ($266)
RAM: Avexir BLITZ1.1 G Series 16GB (2X8GB) DDR3-1866 with green LED ($194)
SSD's: 2X 128GB AngelBird 563MB/S Read 300MB/S ($139)
Processor: Intel i7-4790K ($369)
Power Supply: Corsair AX 860 PLATINUM ($179)
Video Card: EVGA Geforce GTX 970 4GB ($379)
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB ($60)
Liquid Cooling: Swiftech H220-x with green LED ($154)
Fans: 3x Corsair Static Fans Silent Edition 120mm @ 1450RPM ($60)
Case Lighting: NZXT Sleeved 2m Green LED with switch ($20)
System: Windows 8.1 Pro (Free)

Total Price after taxes: $2226.1

Any suggestions? Thought i'd take professional opinions.
Cheers & thanks in advance!!
-Karim

Honestly, I7's are kind of a waste of money if you are mainly gaming imo. I would say go with an i5 4690k as you are going to get almost identical performance and you'll save money. I would also say the PSU is overkill for the system. Something like a corsair RM750 gold would be more appropriate, cheaper and would still run SLI fine if you want to upgrade later. Other than that i think its a really good system, but don't take my word for these things. Wait for more opinions.

Why go with a $266 motherboard get a FX 8370 and 990FXA UD3 Mobo they cause just $325 and spend the remaining $310 on the GPU as it will be the main thing. Go for 970SLI, 980(add another one later) or R9 290x(add another one later)(You will get advantage of Mantle with it).

I have overlooked some benchmarks in terms of FPS. I7's are able to produce somewhere around 10-15 more fps in graphics demanding games like Crysis 3. I'm really considering my ability to run upcoming games on ultra settings. Don't you think i7's will make a difference?
